Testimonial from Caryl Page
The team at Clarity Hearing treated me with such kindness and empathy I felt totally comfortable at all times. They allowed me to come to terms with the need to have hearing aids in my own time. When I finally accepted I needed them and was ready to have them fitted, Clarity Hearing were marvellous. They kept things simple and made sure I was confident wearing them.

Our Team

Clarity-Team.jpg
Our Audiologists and support staff are here to welcome you and make you feel comfortable about discussing your hearing loss and the solutions that are available to you.  We also welcome your friends and family members to our Clinic should you feel more comfortable having them with you as we walk you through our process, and discuss your options with you.

Meet the crew:

Sandra Jamieson, MAud(Hons), CCC, MNZAS, Audiologistsandra.jpg

Sandra was awarded a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in 1983. She graduated with a Master of Audiology degree in 1992.  She had worked prior to this as an Audiometrist at Dilworth Audiology Clinic for 5 years. Once she qualified as an Audiologist, Sandra worked for twelve years at two large audiology clinics: Dilworth Audiology and Bay Audiology. Sandra was the Clinic Manager/Charge Audiologist for 7 years at Bay Audiology - Takapuna before leaving to set up Clarity with Maria.

In their spare time, Sandra and her family head to the Warkworth area as often as possible where they have a caravan right beside the beach.  Lucky! Keeping up with their school aged daughter keeps them out of mischief.

Maria King, MAud(Hons), CCC, MNZAS, Audiologistmaria.jpg

Maria was awarded a Bachelor of Science (Physiology & Pharmacology) in 1995.  She continued on to graduate with a Master of Audiology in 1998.  Maria moved to Mt Maunganui and worked at Bay Audiology until December 2004, by which time she had been Clinic Manager/Charge Audiologist for five years.  Maria has stood on the NZAS Executive Council since 2004.

Maria and her husband, Paul, love the outdoors.  Both love kayak fishing, road and off-road cycling, hunting, tramping etc, etc.  In the summer they spend as much time as possible at the beach and in the surf and are proud parents of three young children.

Michael Severn, MAud (Hons) MNZAS CCC Audiologistmike.jpg

Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Biology) and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) prior to embarking on the Audiology Masters degree programme at the University of Auckland.

Mike is a full member of the New Zealand Audiological Society and employed by them as an examiner for newly graduated Audiologists. He enjoys a varied clinical setting and occasionally locums at Tauranga Hospital Audiology department when required.
Mike joined the Papamoa staff in February 2007. When not in clinic Mike loves spending time with his wife and two children, kayak fishing, playing indoor soccer and volleyball.

Siobhan van Gemerden, Administrationsiobhan.jpg

Siobhan has worked with Maria for ten years providing administrative support.  Siobhan has an amazing knowledge of the hearing industry and of hearing aids.  She is very good at solving problems for people when they drop into the clinic with queries or with a hearing aid that won't go.  Siobhan lives in Tauranga with her husband and two boys.  Good coffee, good wine, chocolate and music would describe Siobhan's vices well!

Marion Flanagan, Reception

Clarity3370.jpgMarion and her family have been in the Bay of Plenty area for over thirty years.

You will often find her walking around the Mount/Tauranga area.  Marion loves to walk & put this to the challenge as she trained for the New York Marathon which she successfully completed in 2010.

Marion also enjoys a wine with friends and abstract painting. She also has two beautiful grand-daughters.

Very much a people person, Marion will always be the smile to greet you at our Clarity Papamoa clinic.

Amanda Clemens MAud (Hons) MNZAS CCC Audiologist

Amanda graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Technology (Biology) from Waikato University prior to being awarded a Masters degree in Audiology at the University of Auckland.

Amanda joined the Papamoa Staff in 2010 but previously worked at another Audiology practice for a number of years in the Tauranga Area. Amanda loves a challenge and has a particular interest in adult diagnostic audiology.

In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and two children. She is a keen camper and loves the outdoors and the Papamoa lifestyle.
